Distorted Mirrors
While we were looking away, the future quietly let itself in. We have yet to feel its full presence. The promises are grand, the hubris boundless, and the optimism bottomless. And yet, it is increasingly difficult to shake a lingering, haunting feeling that, in the face of relentless 'progress' and unfeeling technology, human truth, pain, and existence are becoming dangerously easy to erase. These tales are reflections born of that unease – distorted mirrors held up to a world that is already stranger than we dare admit.
